Condensation and Moisture Management for Timber Construction
The National Construction Code (NCC) contains minimum requirements to reduce the effects of condensation and moisture on buildings and building occupants via condensation and water vapour management, as well as weatherproofing provisions. These moisture related effects can result from external water entering a building (e.g., rain) through to the accumulation of internal moisture (e.g., occupant breathing). Condensation, in particular, is the result of complex interactions between the environment, building construction and occupant behaviour.

Join us for this technical WS webinar in which industry expert Paul Young (National Specification Manager at DC Tech / Proctor Group Australia) will discuss the key design aspects in relation building and meeting the NCC requirements for managing the condensation and moisture. You will gain valuable insights into the design and construction of the complying systems with a focus on timber construction.
This webinar provides a great understanding of ways to manage risks associated with water vapour and condensation, and moisture in general, to minimise their impact on the health of building occupants and buildings and will be of interest to a wide range of building professionals including Architects, building designers, builders, and all building professionals.
This webinar will also officially launches the new Forest & Wood Products Industry Standard “D01 Design and Installation of Exterior Wall Cladding” and the "WoodSolutions Technical Design Guide #57 Condensation Management in Timber Construction".
